Texas Play Hard, Inc. is a woman-owned, Austin business that focuses on the well-being and health of our clients. Our goal is to help you feel and play your best. Whether you are interested in weight loss, general fitness, sport specific training, or want to get ready for a triathlon, Texas Play Hard has the program for you. In addition to personal or group fitness training, TPH has in it's unique mission, to raise the awareness and competitiveness of women's lacrosse in Central Texas.

2009 Summer Tournaments

Elite Team Tournaments:

June 18 - 22, Capitol Cup, near Washington, DC (Grad years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013)
July 16 - 19, All-Star Express, near Philadelphia (Grad years 2010, 2011, 2012)

Estimated tournament cost $800 - $1000 (airfare included)

Collegiate & Post Collegiate Lacrosse Tournament

We are putting together a Texas women's team to play in the Vail ShootOut this summer! It will be a tryout/invitational team. This is a fun, but highly competitive tournament! Please pass this information onto any collegiate/ post-collegiate player who might be interested in playing.

Tournament dates: July 2 - 5 in Vail, Colorado
Estimated tournament cost: $800 - $1000/person
Non-refundable deposit of $200 will be due by 4/1/2009

We are having tryouts early in order to plan fundraising events.

Personal Fitness Trainer Johanna Owens is highly experienced and is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Johanna takes the approach of training through four different disciplines: Pilates, Core Strength, Resistance, and Cardiovascular Training. Women's Lacrosse

At Texas Play Hard we believe that lacrosse for girls offers an incredible experience that is still in its infancy in Central Texas, but offers numerous healthy experiences including lacrosse specific skills, rigorous exercise, team building, sportsmanship, travel, and of course, fun! Coach Jo Owens was instrumental in planting the initial seeds for women's lacrosse both at the University of Texas and in Austin High Schools. She is certified by US Lacrosse as a Coach and an Official. Her vision is to build lacrosse in Austin, to provide opportunities for girls from middle schoolers through high school and on to college level lacrosse.
