2009 All-Star Express
Marlton, New Jersey -- July 17 - 19, 2009
This journey found the Outlaws once again in Marlton, New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia at the delightful Days Inn and Suites at Cherry Hill. The lacrosse venue was beautiful complex at Cherokee High School. This visit included trips to Rutgers and Temple University as well as tours of Bryn Mawr and Arcadia University.

One of the best things about the college visits on this trip, was meeting with Head Coach Katie Tarr of Bryn Mawr for a special briefing about playing lacrosse in college. We were hosted on a private tour of the beautiful Arcadia University campus and castle (ask an Outlaw!) by Head Coach Cindy Joseph. We also got to hear her insights into the NCAA recruiting process.

The All-Star Express Tournament was a showcase style venue where the Outlaws played nine games over the course of two days. Coach Jo and Coach Char had very high expectations for the girls during this trip. The first game was against a New Jersey club team and the TPH girls won, but they did not play "their game". Over the course of the next few games, the girls got things going the way they liked and played some great lacrosse.

During the Tournament, the Outlaws won five games, lost three, and tied one -- an excellent job, considering the wins were over the NJ team, two Maryland teams (including one of those tough Chesapeake Club Lacrosse squads), a Northern Virginia team, and a New York team; not bad for a little team from Texas...

Once again, our girls went on an all out assault of the Lacrosse Vendor Village and left no store unturned. Seems like shopping is always a highlight for these girls...

Finally, by the end of the showcase, Coach Jo and Coach Char did private, written and verbal evaluations for each of the girls, so they knew exactly what to work on for the next trip and for their high school season. All-in-all, another excellent adventure for the Outlaws.
